Surf and Pilates Morocco!
DATES:
19 - 26 November 2007 or
7 - 14 April 2008

We've teamed up with the Errant surf camp
in Morocco to offer a special girls only Surf and Pilates week!
We
will take you away from the cool waters of Northern Europe to soak up
the Moroccan sun, hone your surfing confidence and skills (all levels
catered for), relax and make friends with other like minded girls on
the trip! You will also have the chance to try out or improve your Pilates
with Amy Swanson, a teacher with Body Control Pilates in London and
herself a keen surfer.
We
will take you to some of the fun beach breaks the area has to offer,
similar to those we find in the UK but with a balmy water temperature
of 18c. If you are looking to progress to bigger or point break waves
we will adapt your coaching to suit you.
The
quality and the experience of the coaches at athe Errant camp can't
be matched, all are British Surfing Associated qualified, insured, experienced
lifeguards. The coaching team will include Errant's head female surf
coach Zoey Cotton and top female pro-surfer Celine Gerhart.
If you have already come on one of our Surf
Diva weekends you will have met our resident Pilates goddess Amy.
She will be in Morocco to help you to make the most of your precious
time in the water.
In
her Body Control Pilates sessions on the roof terrace at the villa you
will be developing your mind/body connection, heightening your proprioception
and balance. You will use deep core stabilisers, lengthen tight muscles
while strengthening others, focus your mind and get your blood pumping.
Amy will use exercises specifically chosen to target the muscles and
movement patterns you use to surf.
Last
but not least we need to tell you about our funky Moroccan Surf camp
in the village of Tamraght. It is typically Moroccan with high walls
enclosing a range of single, twin and quad rooms all wonderfully decorated.
There
are two big living spaces for us to congregate in the evenings, three
big bathrooms with hot showers and what really makes this place special
is the big roof top terrace. We also have exclusive use of a beach shack
with a toilet, cold shower and shade from the midday sun!
Half way through the week, we will take a rest day, and
head out to the souk's of Morocco for a spot of shopping. You will have
the chance to haggle for some unforgettable gifts.
This trip is ideal for beginners and intermediate or experienced
female surfers. Come on your own or with your
friends!

at a cost of:

Communications:
Nearly all European phone networks work in Morocco. Contact your network
for call charges. Coverage is good. There are also an abundance of public
phones, coin and cards in the area. International call charges are relatively
cheap.
The villa has a wireless internet connection.
Currency:
The Moroccan currency is the dirham. Dirhams can only be obtained within
Morocco. There are exchange facilities in the airport as well as ATMs.
There are also a number of ATMs in Agadir and one in Bananna Village
(5 minutes drive).
Please note: traveller’s cheques cannot be exchanged at the airport
or in Tamraght
Clothing:
Morocco is regarded as one of the most tolerant of all Muslim countries
and women don’t get hassled too much particularly in tourist cities
like Agadir or relaxed villages like Tamraght. Swimming costumes and
bikinis are normal on the beach but it is advisable to cover up arms
and legs when walking around the village.
Shorts and tees and flip flops are the norm. Trousers
and jumpers are sometimes needed particularly in the evenings which
can be chilly.
A 3/2mm full wetsuit is recommended
